Irish Research.

This post is from 2010, when Lucie from MACE (Media Archive for Central England) visited the Irish Centre in Digbeth, Birmingham. Her latest project at the time was to gather original archive footage and imagery from local people, particularly the Irish communities in order to digitalise them for archival and historical purposes.

I recently got in contact with the blog in which I found the article on, Digbeth Is Good and asked if I could speak with Lucie. Unfortunately, she no longer works there but someone else was able to talk with me. She seemed very interested in the project that I have been working on, and she was going to talk with her colleagues to see about progressing further. If possible, I would like to have access to some of the archival footage and imagery, and perhaps use this later within the book I would like to publish. I am not sure at the moment if this will possible, or what use it may have, but I would like to have those resources available, if only for research or reference purposes only.
